About
Hello! I'm Janette, and I would love the opportunity to capture some great moments for you and your family! I offer several different types of lifestyle photography sessions, focusing on these four main categories: New Love: Couple/Engagement, Weddings; New Life: Maternity, Birth, Newborn; Everyday Life: Family, Children; and Pets. Although I mainly do lifestyle photography now, I do also have a collection of images from nature.
I grew up in Southern Ontario and have spent the last decade living in British Columbia and Alberta. Our family recently relocated to Fort Smith, NT. Since I am a stay-at-home mom of four, and I've always had a passion for photography, I decided to set this passion in motion by creating Murchie's Photography in 2010.
My sessions are generally lighted naturally in the great outdoors, especially in places that hold special meaning to the people in the photos. For newborn sessions, I come to your home so that you don't have to worry about getting your new baby all bundled up to leave. I have a growing stash of photography props, mostly for newborns and children, some of which I crochet myself. Whenever I can, I incorporate what I like to call "spontaneous props", or items from your own home and life that are special to you. These make your photos unique and personalized.
Two of the newest sessions I am super excited to be offering are wedding photography and birth photography! See my Pricing tab at the top for more details on those and other packages.
I look forward to doing your photo session in the Fort Smith area! Please email me for details and to book an appointment.
